Texti Newsletter #24

Fun fact: 24 is what is used to measure 100% gold - like our today's newsletter.

The highlights of the week:

  1. โ€‹Amazon's Maestroโ€‹
Clearly a RIP-off of the Apple's Genius playlist creator, that targets Gen-Z and later because it's fully emoji friendly ๐Ÿคช.
  2. โ€‹Meta's New AI Glassesโ€‹
Glasses that augment reality, they record videos, stream video calls, answer your questions and are AI multi-modal enabled. Also I really want them ๐Ÿ˜…

โ€‹Amazon Maestroโ€‹

It's a Genius move because it's a RIP-off Apple's magic playlist creator and it's called Maestro. It's powered by "AI" - not sure we can trust Amazon on this one ๐Ÿ˜…, yet we kind of have to.

Anyways, it's magic because it can create a playlist based on this query "๐Ÿ˜ญ and eating ๐Ÿ" or better "๐Ÿ† + ๐Ÿ‘".

I mean just by the prompt, they're showing that they are targeting this music playlist generator to people under 20 years old, because it heavily relies on emoji and the keyword boyfriend is persistent.

I understand stealing kids from spotify and moving them to Amazon Music, could be another Genius move, as it could yield long term customers, which yields a very valuable customer acquisition. They want this piece of cake the social media has. young blood that has has access to tons of parent's money. So they're definitely pushing through.

The feature is already live for handful of customers based in the US, and it is yet to come someday to the rest of the world. Amazon music has 13% of the global market, but they want waaay more. That's a battle uphill that Amazon is yet to fight.

30 seconds break

Here's a video of showing how to hack a visual based interface. Literally a person with a T-shirt with a stop sign, would cause AI based autopilots to stop the cars in the middle of the road. I find this super funny and frightening at the same time ๐Ÿ˜‚.

โ€‹Meta's New AI Glassesโ€‹

This week Meta has launched a new ad campaign for their glasses, because they've got an update.

They now support multi-modal capabilities. (Multi-modal means they can process visual and audio information), but the ad is suuuper cool! Now I really wanna buy em. They also promote a retro like style vibe and somewhat very stylish.

Enough back to tech. They can record videos, stream video calls, be interactive with you while you do something, take pictures, explain the world around you.

I feel like this is the best most comfortable, and accessible continuous augmented reality we currently have. Given you will have to have constant internet access to use them, yet still this is a very neat package to be able to consume.

Dang this feels like an ad ๐Ÿ˜…, but I mean I really like the marketing and package presentation they have. I should definitely buy them and get disappointed so that I could be more critical on the feedback.

Anyways what I wanted to say, well if this isn't the future. You can talk to your glasses like it's an extension of your eye. It can see, react and act, as if this is nothing but normal. We live in the freaking future enjoy it.

That's it folks, see you next week โค๏ธ๏ธ๏ธ๏ธ๏ธ๏ธ๏ธ

Happy Prompting!
